More Than Story Time…
1 hour library and school sessions for kids aged 3-6.
After a completely sold out tour in Newcastle, we are bringing our “More Than Story Time…” library and school programs to Melbourne! Ignite children’s imaginations and expand their learning with your choice of theme. All sessions include stories, songs, movement activities, dancing, puppets, magic and of course, fun!
Our programs can be tailored to your theme to compliment your curriculum, or you can choose from our themes and characters.
A Note From Stephanie
“I developed “More Than Story Time…” so that kids can learn without even realising! I have run various children’s programs and performed kid’s shows in libraries, early learning centres and schools since 2012, as well as teaching dance, drama and singing to kids aged 3 to 16. With my extensive experience in the field, I have taken the best bits out of all my previous work and developed these programs to be a mixture of a performance, a class or workshop, story time and a party, meaning they are the perfect mix of learning and fun!”
Themes
Each session is hosted by one of our characters to match your theme.
UNDER THE SEA
Do you know your A, B, Seas? Come diving under the sea with a mermaid as she teaches you about the amazing world under the water.
AROUND THE WORLD
Arrrr me hearties! Sail around the world with Pirate Peggy Leg! Find buried treasure, sail the seas and learn about the 7 continents.
SPACE
Mmm, did someone say ‘Milky Way’!? Learn all about the planets, space, and of course, aliens with a real astronaut. 3, 2, 1… liftoff!
BOTTOM OF THE GARDEN
A session all about the natural world we live in, learning about being environmentally friendly with a real life fairy!
JUNGLE
How loud can you ROAR? Roar like a lion, run like a cheetah and fly like a bird, learning all about wild animals.
DANCE
Kids can move, get fit and have fun whilst learning all about movement and physical expression with our Dancing Diva!
SUPERHERO
We teach kids about the real powers and strength they have inside them and how to use them in everyday life, including friendship, generosity and kindness.
MAGIC AND IMAGINATION
Let children’s imaginations run wild with this session promoting creative thinking. Learn all about the amazing world above and all things that fly with a real Unicorn!

What’s Included
The structure for each session is the same, with different content for each theme. This means there is always new material, no matter how many sessions they attend.
(After attending one session, many kids come back for more in our other themes!)
STORIES
A short children’s story based on the theme. I have a story for each session, but am happy to tailor my sessions to any reading material in your curriculum.
MOVEMENT
An interactive activity letting kids discover the different animals and creatures in the world of your chosen theme… and then becoming them!
SONGS
A song performed by the character, giving the kids and opportunity to dance and sing along, as well as songs and nursery rhymes.
DANCING
Various dance activities and games to suit your theme. Our dance games and activities include disco lights, bubbles and more!
WISHES
Kids can use their imaginations to make their own wishes. We teach them about the magic they have inside them, promoting kindness and thoughtfulness,
PUPPETS
We create a new voice and character for each puppet to keep kids engaged. They teach kids all about where they live, what they eat and more!
FUN
Kids won’t even realise they are learning! These sessions are the perfect mixture of a performance, a workshop, story time and a party!
